Boroa

Boroa, is a town in Araucanía, Chile on the shores of Imperial River. It was founded as a Spanish fort in the 16th Century during the Arauco War. It was abandoned in 1566 after a long seige during the General Mapuche Rising of 1565[1]. One can find vestiges of the old Spanish fort at its location.
