Borja Valero Iglesias (born 12 January 1985 in Madrid) is a Spanish football (soccer) midfielder for RCD Mallorca, after being released from Real Madrid.
Grown through the ranks of the capital side, Borja made his senior debut against Écija Balompié, substituting Javi García at the 60-minute mark in a Copa del Rey match on 25 October 2006. He made another appearance in a UEFA Champions League 2006-07 match against Dynamo Kyiv, replacing Miguel Ángel Nieto in the 74 min.
Yet another cantera player who was released since Bernd Schuster took over the reins at R.Madrid in July 2007, Borja signed a 5-year contract with Mallorca the following month. He scored his first La Liga goals in a 7-1 home thrashing of Recreativo de Huelva, on March 9, 2008. On April 5, Valero added another, against his former team, in a 1-1 home draw.
