[edit] Terminal facilities
There is currently one terminal building with the following services: 3 check-in desks, 2 immigration desks, 1 lounge area, 1 departure gate, 1 cafe, EgyptAir Gift Shop
Because of the airport's limited capacity, only one flight can be checked in every 4 hours (the time it takes to clear passengers from check-in to boarding the aircraft). There are plans to expand the premises in the near future.
In July 2007, The Egyptian Airports Company signed a deal to build a new passenger terminal that will have a capacity for 2.5 million passengers a year at a cost of 550 Million Egyptian Pounds (97 Million US$).
