Border War may refer to:

• Wars involving border disputes:
  • Border War, also referred to as Bleeding Kansas, a series of violent events, involving Free-Staters and pro-slavery elements, that took place in the Kansas Territory and the western frontier towns of the Missouri between 1854 and 1858.
  • South African Border War, a conflict that took place from 1966 to 1989 in South West Africa and Angola
  • Mauritania-Senegal Border War of 1989 to 1991
  • The Sino-Indian War of 1962

• In U.S. college athletics:
  • Border War (Kansas vs Missouri), officially known as the "Border Showdown", the rivalry between the University of Kansas and the University of Missouri
  • Border War (Colorado State vs. Wyoming), the college football game played between Colorado State University and the University of Wyoming
  • In college basketball, the term Border War typically refers to the rivalry between Indiana University and University of Kentucky. UK has the second most national championships (7) and IU the third most (5) in NCAA history. The game airs annually on CBS in December.
