User talk:Bone identify

--Jackgrov 17:20, 6 August 2006 (UTC)While at Cape San Blas Florida I found a skeleton on the beach. I believe it was a porpoise. The shape and size of what I think is a rib intrigues me. The bone is about 12 inches long and 3 inches wide. At on end it has what is obviously a ball and socket joint, the other end has an elongated cone shaped extension about three inches long and about human finger size. I have never seen a bone with this type configuration. Any clue would be welcomed.
