Talk:Bonneville cutthroat trout
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In the article, it is stated that "The differences between the Bonneville cutthroat trout and the rainbow trout are the basibranchial (hyoid) teeth in their throat between the gill arches."
What's different about them?
[edit] Bear Lake strain
The Utah DWR bothers separating Bear Lake and Bonneville cutthroats in their fishing proclomation (this is a PDF file, the information I mentioned is in the "Sport Fish Identification" section), could we possibly add a subsection for the Bear Lake strain explaining what is different about them? --Lethargy 19:37, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
- IIRC Bear Lake cutts are used in waters such as Strawberry Reservoir that have populations of Utah chub, apparently the Bear Lake strain is more predatory. --Lethargy 19:43, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Please verify picture of bonneville cutthroat trout.
This does not look like a bonneville cutthroat trout. Please verify the photo and list the stream, county and state from where the fish was caught.66.182.59.202 18:03, 10 September 2007 (UTC)Marsh Poulson
