I believe it's Bonito, with an "o". That's the way it appears in the Ruidoso area guide and in the Alamogordo city website (Alamogordo owns it and uses it as the water source). It was originally a village, which now lies at the bottom of the lake. Ehusman 20:28, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
