[edit] commercial links
This looks a lot like an ad to me.... what's the policy on this sort of single-source commercial linking? -Harmil 23:57, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
- They are there because it is hard to find freely useable images on a subject
- such as this. Lets fine one image of a nose hook alone and one in use image
- that can be put in the article and then remove the commercial links.

[edit] Pictures
I see that there's already a request for nose hook pictures. I think it would be useful to have picture(s) of tail hooks as well, as I don't think it's possible to explain their shape very well without images (although obviously not in use – just pictures of the items themselves). --me_and 3 July 2005 00:15 (UTC)
- I've been asking irl for an artist to draw pictures for the article. The answer was quite positive. I think I'll ask for one picture having all the hooks with numbers. And one technical in-use picture, for each. They don't have to be pornographic. Not even as much as the sexposition pictures, such as Image:Doggy_Sex_Position.png. They can be closeups and reveal only as much as needed, for one to get the concept. --Easyas12c 18:47, 10 July 2005 (UTC)

- That would be great. Thanks. --me_and 11:15, 11 July 2005 (UTC)

Has anyone made an attempt to contact either of the distributors listed on the article about them possibly licensing out one of their "in use" pictures for the article?TheMonkofDestiny 16:59, 25 July 2005 (UTC)Follow-up - I have sent an email to the extremerestraints.com site asking if it is possible that the copyright holder could be contacted in regard for display of the image on the main page of the article.TheMonkofDestiny 08:23, 26 July 2005 (UTC)Follow-up 2 - Permission has been granted, as long as the URL for the site accompanies the image. I will upload the image along with the body of the e-mail shortly and place the picture on the main article page.TheMonkofDestiny 23:00, 26 July 2005 (UTC)- Done. I am not exactly sure what license tag to label it under though. TheMonkofDestiny 23:42, 26 July 2005 (UTC)
- Licenses with such exceptions tend to bring problems. Someone already removed the url from the page. You could ask them, if they are willing to give us a CC-by-sa license. As a fallback you could ask them, if it is ok to have their url only on the image page. And not the articles using image. --Easyas12c 10:03, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
- I will make it a point to get that done as early as I possibly can. TheMonkofDestiny 10:12, 29 July 2005 (UTC)
- There is also a picture about nose hook. I already put it on the nose hook page, but photographs are great, and if you get the license thing completely solved out we should use the photograph or maybe both, the photograph and the drawing. If you don't we still have the option of going completely free with using the draing only. All the drawings are at wikimedia commons under cc-by-sa-2.5 license. --Easyas12c 10:50, 4 August 2005 (UTC)
- I never could get any further reply back from the copyright holder and the photo image is up for deletion. The illustrations will have to suffice unless someone can either acquire another photo for use here in the article. TheMonkofDestiny 17:50, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] merge from Nose hook
Currently I think its just confusing to have two articles. Lets split again later, if the bondage hook article grows a lot. --Easyas12c 18:19, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
