I rated this article a B because it's a well-written and good overview of the topic. However, it could probably do with a few more examples and discussion outside the European/German system. Perhaps some text about ethnic or religious-bond credit unions, closed-bond CUs, etc. Some more practical examples of how the bond of association substitutes for collateral would be useful (may be a difficult concept for someone schooled only in 'traditional' business structures), as would some examples of how it facilitates microfinance, and maybe some general information on determining a bond, etc. Cyrie (talk) 14:56, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, Cyrie. These comments are constructive and helpful. I'll certainly give your questions some thought and prepare some text in the coming months, and hopefully other contributors will, too.Brett epic (talk) 16:17, 11 March 2008 (UTC)
No problem, I am glad you found the comments useful. If I come across any useful information in my travels I will try to incorporate it also (this topic is interesting to me and my upcoming work may intersect the topic somewhat) or at least post it here for others to try and incorporate.
