Bontnewydd

Bontnewydd is a small village located on the A499 three kilometres south of Caernarfon, north Wales. The village lies close to the River Gwyrfai, three kilometres from its outflow into Foryd Bay. It is served by Bontnewydd railway station, an unstaffed halt on the Welsh Highland Railway.
The village's name is Welsh for new bridge.
