Bonjour la Classe is British television comedy series that aired on BBC1 in 1993. Created and written by Paul Smith and Terry Kyan, the series centered on Laurence Didcott, a new French instructor in the languages department of prestigous Mansion School. Despite his displays of honesty and great enthusiasm, Didcott discovers a prevaling attitude at Mansion--among its staff, benefactors, and even students and parents--that places what's best for the school (e.g. fundraising, school image) far ahead of the pupils' education and well-being.
