Bonjour Brumaire is a francophone indie rock band based in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
Formed in January 2007, the quintet recorded its first demo with acclaimed producer Ryan Battistuzzi (Malajube, Les Breastfeeders) only 3 months after the members first met.
After playing its first show on June 7th 2007, the band then played for Fringe Pop Festival, Osheaga Music and Arts Festival, POP Montréal and Coup de Coeur Francophone.
Winner of the Telus «Discovery of the year» prize at Gala de l'Alternative Musicale Indépendante du Québec in September 2007, the band then went into studio on November 1st to tape his first full length, "De La Nature Des Foules", with Ryan Battistuzzi.
It was released on April 1st 2008 on Indica Records.
The band was also nominated for the 2008 MIMI (Montreal International Music Initiative) and, after playing at Toronto's Canadian Music Week and Telus Spin 08, Bonjour Brumaire were part of the finalist bands of the 12th Francouvertes, where they won the "Sodrac - Chapeau Aux Compositeurs" award (for best music) for the song "Argeles".
This summer, the band will be part of most summer festivals all around Quebec like Woodstock en Beauce, Osheaga, and many more.
