Bolivian Sign Language is a modified form of American Sign Language used by approximately 400 deaf Bolivians (1988 E. Powlison). It is seen in Cochabamba, La Paz, Riberalta, and Santa Cruz. There are 9 deaf institution in the country and 46,800 deaf Bolivians.
