Boldon James

Boldon James is a UK-based software company incorporated in February 1985, and specialising in secure messaging solutions aimed primarily at the defence/aerospace and government marketplaces. Since October 2007, Boldon James has been part of Qinetiq, formerly part of Defence Evaluation and Research Agency, the UK MoD's Science and Technology research organisation, who took over the company from previous owners, ISIS Equity Partners[1][2].

Boldon James Holdings Ltd is registered in London, whilst Boldon James itself operates a head office in Crewe. The company is small - 70 employees, 80% of which are technical staff[3], but with clients including the UK and German Ministries of Defence, and defence/aerospace contractors such as Lockheed Martin, amongst others.

The company are a Microsoft Gold Partner[4], as well as being partnered with organisations such as EDS and Fujitsu. Boldon James produce a range of messaging products, principally integrating with Microsoft Exchange and Outlook, including addons for Outlook Web Access, X.400 gateways, and products designed to integrate Exchange with large third party LDAP Directories. The company also provide a range of professional services.
