The village of Bolbanabad (in Persian:بلبان اباد, Kurdish: Bolwanawa) is located to the east of the Kordestan province. It is bordered from east to the Ghorveh, from the north to Dehgolan, from south to Mochash, and from west to Sanandaj. It is located in the city of Qorveh which is located in a large plain 93 km. east of Sanandaj and northwest of Hamadan and has expanded in the direction of the Sanandaj road towards Hamadan.
Original name of this place (including diacritics) is Bolbānābād, it lies in Kordestan, Iran and its geographical coordinates are 35° 7' 58" North, 47° 19' 18" East.
Bolbanabad or Bolwanawa had an estimated population of 3895 in 2006 [1]. The village of Bolbanabad lies at a distance of 512 km from Tehran, 2,120 m above sea level. The population of Bolbanabad is mainly Kurdish and Muslim.
In the past the seat of rule of this village was the Ghazi abad Village. Here the governor of the times was responsible for the construction of some buildings, a castle, mosque, bath, garden and large groves. Today, due to its distinctive geological characteristics, and mineral water springs, visitors and tourists are attracted to this village
