Bokar Coffee

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bokar Coffee is the brand name of the dark roast of coffee introduced by the American supermarket chain A&P in 1919. A&P's Bokar roast is not as dark as an espresso but described instead as a full city roast.

In 1979 A&P licensed its division Compass Foods, Inc. to sell Red Circle coffee to other retailers including competing supermarket chains.
