Today Paris is a notable city in which crime has not stop rising since 1960.Unlike English or American cities Paris crime is not only concentrated in some parts of the city but in most part of the city. Paris is known for its Black and North African immigration wave which lead to racism poverty and violence.Today Paris is known to have exceeded any American cities and any Lebanese cities in crime. It is advised when walking in Paris to always take precautions depending on the area travelling to has many mugging and theft take place all around the city and mainly suburbs. Tourist are often targeted in metros, bus or walking around. Please be advised to not walk alone in alot of commune of the city has many muggings , theft and larcenery take place at dawn just as it does during the day.

[edit] Outer Communes ( Suburbs )

A Notable part of Paris is its surburbs. The surbubs known as Banlieues are where alot of the violence are concentrated. It is highly recommended that if travelling on Metro or RER to take extreme precaution while travelling through the surburbs especially at night. Trains and trains stations are where many regroupments of youth are formed and are often very strategical places to be for drug dealing and theft.If travelling by car in Paris surbubs it is very recommended that all car and windows should be locked and handbags and valuables should be stored under seats or stored in a place where it is not noticable. If in case of an emergency you need to call a number Dial 17 and you will be operated to a Police agent which will come and pick you up. Police are not often seen in many suburbs due to the regard and disrespected attitude that people ( mainly youth ) have of the police. Police are often targeted by groups and are victims of beatings if a large group of youth are regrouped.

[edit] Northern and Southern Suburbs

Alot of the problems come from Northern suburbs known as 93 or Le Neuf Trois as many of the southern suburbs known as 94 or Quatre vingt Quatorze.Eastern parts of the city are also notorious but not as concentrated as the Northern or Southern parts of the city. Be advised that Northern , Southern and Eastern coomunes make altogether over 100 suburbs and alot of these suburbs are known for its crime and prostitution.
