[edit] History
The history of the mall can be traced back to 1983 when Boise Mall at Westpark was proposed.[2] The mall's name changed to Westpark Mall in 1985[2] and Boise Towne Square Mall in 1987. The mall was built in 1987 and opened in 1988. The mall was expanded in 1998 to add Dillard's, new stores, a food court, and more space for The Bon Marchè. In 2000, another expansion was made to expand Sears and add more stores. In 2006, the mall was expanded to add 35,000 square feet (3,300 m²) of retail and restaurant space. Borders, The Cheesecake Factory, and Talbots were added in this expansion.
