Boischatel, Quebec

Boischatel, Quebec is a member of the Capitale-Nationale administrative region of Quebec. As of 2001, the town had a population of 4,303. Michel Guimond, current whip of the Bloc Québécois, first started his political career here as a city councillor. The town was originally called Saint-Jean-de-Boischatel. Located nearby are the Montmorency Falls, 35,000 liters of water a second falling down a height one and a half times greater than the Niagara Falls.
