Boisar has some of the best schools as compared to its demographics. Atomic Energy Central School is a government run CBSE board school instituted exclusively for the wards of the employees of Tarapur Atomic Power Station. It is affiliated to the dozen other central board AECS schools spread across the nation at nuclear facility sites and also to the Kendriya Vidyala. The school is nested inside the cosy residential colony and has an old world charm to it. It is equipped with labs and well maintained, spacious and well lit classrooms. A roofed but open-air auditorium, isolated basket-ball court, lush green gardens on the inside, and a full length football field complete the landscape of this dream-school. The students and teachers have contributed in creating and maintaining a nursery inside the school in the form of a miniature village model, complete with wooden villagers and thatched-roof huts. The staff comprises a very able and shrewd faculty of teachers and lab-attendants. The Tarapur branch of the AECS school is a regular figure among the top-3 in cultural, sports and academic activities. [edit] Hotels
Contessa, Shivanand, Sarovar, Blue Diamond, Sunrose, vanita are some of the Hotels in this town.
Contessa: The only Hotel in Boisar since its inception has preserved most of its credentials. The service is pleasant, interiors subtle and seems moderately priced. It is still the best property in town. Mostly frequented by foreigners visiting MIDC and top executives.
Sarovar:Sarovar is equipped with a Udipi-style vegetarian restaurant by the same name and a Bar and Non-vegetarian restaurant by the name Silvergate. Owing to its location in the shopping hub of boisar, chitralaya, this hotel draws most of the crowd.
Utsav:A recent addition, this hotel was built by breakaway staff from Sarovar. The fair boasts of Thai cuisine among others. A little cluttered and claustrophobic, the hotel still draws a sizeable crowd owing to its location by the theatre in Chitralaya.
Shivanand:The oldest hotel in town, the owner started off with a small tea-stall and is one of the big success stories of the town. The recently revamped hotel, houses a Bar by the ominous name "The Pub". A Hangout for the youth and bachelors, the hotel doesn't attract families as such. It also has a small fast food centre, offering the usual chat varieties.
Village-Inn: Another recent addition, this restaurant and bar bears the looks of a country-inn with paddy fields and coconut groves for background. The balcony section is best suited for dreamy drinking sessions in the rain, with the greenery and quiet, soothing one's senses. The fair isn't much to write home about, but its still a favourite for people looking for a change particularly in the rains.
There is a new upcoming hotel "Martins Inn" in Ostwal Empire. It is very big and luxurious hotel.
