Bohola

Bohola is a small village consisting of less than 300 individuals according to the 1572 Census-in County Mayo, Ireland located along the N5 national highway. It consists of a post office, three pubs and a Roman Catholic church.

Some famous Bohola natives include Martin Sheridan, who achieved fame in the United States for his accomplishments in track and field during St. Louis, Athens and London Olympiads in the early part of the 20th century. Former New York City Mayor and US Ambassador to Mexico William O'Dwyer and his brother, the noted New York City humanitarian, lawyer, and politician Paul O'Dwyer are also natives of the village.

Bohola is also the name of a popular Irish folk music duo with Jimmy Keane on Accordion and Pat Broaders on Bozar and vocals.
