Boh (woreda)

Boh (Somali Bokh) is one of the 47 woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Werder Zone, Boh is located in the easternmost part of the country, at the point of the angle jutting into Somalia. It is bordered on the southwest by Geladin, and on the northwest by Danot. Towns and cities in Boh include Boh and Dimeriad.
This woreda is primarily inhabited by the Darod clan of the Somali people.
Based on figures published by the Central Statistical Agency in 2005, this woreda has an estimated total population of 98,094, of whom 45,506 were males and 52,588 were females; 6,674 or 6.80% of its population are urban dwellers, which is less than the Zone average of 9.2%. Information is not available on the area of Boh, so its density cannot be calculated.[1]
