[edit] Gaybo's Grumpy Men

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Gaybo's Grumpy Men, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Gaybo's Grumpy Men. brewcrewer (yada, yada) 03:18, 23 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Gosford, County Down

Hi, what is this? A village? Could that information be added to the article? J Milburn (talk) 21:50, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Ok, that's great. J Milburn (talk) 21:57, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Drummoyne

Hi Bogger, I have reverted a change you recently made to Drummoyne. What leads you to say that a Sottish placename is part of the Irish language? I will change the wp:dab to Scottish Gaelic if you have no other information. Thanks. Bleakcomb (talk) 10:56, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

No sweat. Thanks for your edits. Bleakcomb (talk) 06:33, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Vere Wynne-Jones

I have removed the reference you added to the article Vere Wynne-Jones. Per WP:CITE, references should be to reliable sources, but the link you added to http://www.spock.com/Vere-Wynne-Jones is just to an aggregator site. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:35, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Notable?

[edit] Notability of Vere Wynne-Jones

A tag has been placed on Vere Wynne-Jones requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 194.46.238.241 (talk) 00:03, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Campsites (The Scout Association)

Your recent edits to Scout Association articles on most welcome, so please do not take amiss my edits to this article and my comments on its talk page. This article needs wider discussion. The activity from editors on UK Scout articles is far too low. We need help. Best wishes, --Bduke (talk) 23:47, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Minor CTU agents in 24

There's a current change to an article that I feel should have the discussion of the whole Wkiproject. It's the article above, the old version is this and the new version is the current version. I think some discussion on which version would be best would be wise in this situation. Feel free to discuss this on the article talk page. Thanks, SteveBot (owner) 21:20, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Geoffrey Keating as Gael at Ballylooby

Hi Bogger,Please don't take this amiss but it is factually incorrect to describe Seatrun Ceitinn as a 'Gael'as implied by your direct. I really don't want to get into an editing tennis match, however' 'Ethnically', Keating was of Cambro-Norman descent and would have been associated with the 'Old English', that is those from what is now Britain who settled long prior to the reformation, as distinct from the Protestant 'New English. The term Gaelic here refers , not to Ceitinn's 'biological identity' but to his studies of Irish (Gaelic) history and culture and his identifying with same. The distinction is essential to understanding his place in Gaelic historiography.RashersTierney (talk) 23:01, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Hey Rashers, I never meant to infer his ethnicity or nationality. A gaelic historian is a historian of gaelic stuff. Gaelic is a disambiguation page, so [little or no articles] should refer to it. I changed it to Gaels as I believed that he was someone wo studied/wrote the history of the Gaels. Either way, "Gaelic" can mean upto 18 things, I just picked one. Bogger (talk) 16:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

I understand, I just don't think you picked the most appropriate one. It makes a difference.RashersTierney (talk) 16:44, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
