I am a graduate of both the University of Otago and Victoria University of Wellington.
[edit] Wikipedia works-in-progress
I tend to beaver away at particular projects (see below), and in my "down time", read (and occasionally repair) articles on people or subjects that interest me.

[edit] New Zealand politicians
This project is to wikify politicians' entries: so that they are better integrated with other New Zealand biographical articles. In other words, it is not just the political side of a politician's life that is being highlighted in this project.
This project aims to connect New Zealand politicians (and the rest of the population) with:
-
- their pre- or post-Parliament occupations/professions;
- the previous honours system (e.g knighthoods or service medals)
- the schools/universities they attended, and the
- countries that non-New Zealand born MPs migrated from.
A significant effort is being made to create bibliographies of works either about or by the politicians concerned: whether they were inside or outside Parliament when the publications were created.
-
- This is so the reader has a ready-made list of sources to consult should they want to improve the articles, or to conduct other types of research.

[edit] Articles on mathematics and physics
I'm not a professional mathematician or physicist. My intention here is to improve the documentation. In other words, to make sure that the books, articles, PDFs and weblinks are correctly cited so that folk can print reliable bibliographies, or cite the authorities correctly.
