Boeun County (Boeun-gun) is a county in North Chungcheong Province, South Korea.

In first days of July 1973, Boeun township promoted to Boeun town.[1] In 1983, two townships are abolished and incorporated into normal ones. In 2007, Hoebuk myun changed its name to Hoein myun and Maro myun into Jang an myun, Nae-Sonngni myun into Songnisan myun.[2]

  • Mt.Songni Fall Festival : When the beautiful Autumn of Mt. Songni comes around, a festival is held on this most celebrated mountain of the country’s middle region. This festival also contributes to the development of tourism and the economy in the Mt. Songni region.[3]
  • Boeun Ocher Apple Festival : Boeun is famous for production of a large deal of apples. From this, Boeun county plans this festival.

A nationwide scale of apple harvest festival. The festival provides an opportunity to refresh the image of delicious Boeun ocher apple.

Jujube is the most well-known farming products by Boeun county. Additionally, fruits, pairs, eggs are getting attraction by confirming eco-friendly mark.[4]
