I don't know about this. Not only do the two articles look almost exactly alike, it doesn't appear that there is a really huge difference between the Macross character and his Robotech counterpart. There's no reason why we couldn't have one section detailing his role in the former series and another section which discusses the latter (like the main Zentradi article).
