Bodø is the county capital and one of the largest cities inside the arctic circle. Should it be a low importance article? Orcaborealis 20:47, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

User:Derek.cashman who classified it thusly is a member of the Cities WikiProject. You could perhaps ask him directly. Or you could just change it yourself if you think that is appropriate. Try and look at some other cities within the Cities WikiProject of about the same importance and see how they have fared. I intuitively feel ot probably should be a mid-importance article, however, I don't know what the ramifications are of being a low versus a mid importance article. Having educated myself, these are the criteria for i mid-importance article:

A population greater than or equal to 200,000, but not a capital. International news coverage by at least two media agencies of an event or disaster.

Obviously Bodø must contend with being a low-importance city, unless there is any recent international news coverage of events or disasters. __meco 21:12, 15 July 2007

Thanks for your effort! There was an event back in the 60s (cold war) when the U2 plane was shot down that got Bodø in the media coverage of about all important news media, but the event did not take place in Bodø - and it certainly is not recent....Thanks again.
