Body Heat (Quincy Jones album)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The album Body Heat by Quincy Jones was released in 1974 on A&M Records. It's a jazz-funk classic. Jones' skills for original arrangements are displayed, as in the cover of the classic tune "Along Came Betty", played on flute. "Boogie Joe The Grinder" is a disco-funk rendering, à la Roy Ayers. "Everything Must Change" is a truthful cover of the song, but leaves some room to the smooth sound delivered by the musicians. This album can be seen as a bridge between "Smackwater Jack" and the more modern funk or disco-flavoured productions by Quincy Jones ( Michael Jackson's "Off The Wall", and the famous single "Aie No Corrida" ).
