From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The BOCC Computer Systems Development (Postgraduate) Award is a prize open to postgraduate computing students at the Department of Computing at Oxford Brookes University in Oxford, England. The Award encourages the development and effective use of World Wide Web and computer systems techniques in project work.
The award, funded by The Big Oxford Computer Company Ltd, was launched in 2006 and is judged on the effective use of development techniques, as well as accessibility and security issues. Students also have to provide the details of which technologies they have employed in developing their applications and their reasons for making their choice.
The award was formerly called BOCC Computer Systems Development Award, launched in 2005, which was also open to undergraduates and provided two first prizes each to one undergraduate and one Master's student, and four runner-up prizes.
