Interesting entry. In 20 years in the airline industry (admittedly in the US but with contacts in the UK and Japan) the first time I ever came across the term "board toilet" was in this article. In all my reference materials, including those from aircraft manufacturers, the only term I find for these facilities is "lavatory", frequently shortened to "lav". In the past you might hear the term "biffy" used.
