Boalmari is located at 23.3917° N 89.6833° E . It has 35278 units of house hold and total area 272.34 km².

As of 1991 Bangladesh census^[1], Boalmari has a population of 190159. Males constitute are 50.63% of the population, and females 49.37%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 94073. Boalmari has an average literacy rate of 27% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate. ^[2]
