Boa Entrada is a village 90 km north-northwest of Praia, situated at the centre of Santiago Island in Cape Verde. The village is on several roads including the Tarrafal-Assomada road and the road to Ribeira da Barca. The area is famous with bird watchers for its population of Cape Verde Swamp Warblers.

The area around Boa Entrada is rocky, bushy and grassy. Rocky mountains surround the town. Small farms are in the valley areas and within the village.

Some of the houses were built in the late-20th century, some homes are built with mud and brick as well as stone. Some of the population are farmers, growing bananas, pineapples, and other fruit and vegetables. Some tend livestock. Other villagers work in shops and the port. Electricity and phone are connected.

Boa Entrada has a school, a middle school, a church, and a square (praça or prasa). Its nearest secondary school and its banks are in Assomada.
