You were blocked for blanking articles containing uncontentious information. I welcome you as a member of the Wikipedia community - hopefully, you will modify the behaviour for which you were blocked. Again, welcome. Ian Cairns 16:19, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
blp policy says "Unsourced or poorly sourced material — whether negative, positive, or just questionable — about living persons should be removed immediately and without discussion". you block people for enforcing policy? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bo lam pa (talkcontribs)
Daniel, Please sign your name after your contributions using '~~~~' otherwise, it is difficult to know who is saying what. My response would be the same as my previous comment in this exchange - so I won't repeat myself. Whatever happened to the 'unknown stranger' whom you said used your session for blanking articles? Thanks, Ian Cairns 12:53, 11 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Email received

Dear "Icairns", First of all, let me apologize for addressing you by your 'Wikipedian' username; for I am only calling you by that name due to lack of a better name. I would formally like to object to me being banned. I had my account logged in on a public computer to make an edit but then by mistake, I remained logged in. I have reviewed the changes that were made to pages on Wikipedia and I hereby state that these changes were not made by me but by an unknown stranger. I must apologize for the changes being made, in my account.

I thank you for your time, and if you wish, you may contact me further on this matter. I do apologize to you and any of the general Wikipedia public for having my account open on a public computer.

Regards,

Daniel Hall.

Hello Daniel, Many thanks for your explanation, and for accepting responsibility for actions committed at your computer session. I will review my earlier block shortly. Thanks, Ian Cairns 13:15, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
I've commuted the earlier block to 24hrs which means the block has no finished. Welcome back. Please safeguard your sessions. I would recommend changing your Wiki password immediately. Thanks, Ian Cairns 13:22, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
