[edit] Thanks

Hi, thanks for your clarification about the differences between romanisation and spelling variations. I completely agree with you there. Ganryuu (talk) 21:39, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] French translation needed

Hi there,

Good work expanding the Algerian politician articles. I created an article, Oumar Mariko, which is much longer in the French version. Do you think you could translate and expand the article from that version to the English one? Appreaciate your help and the good work you are doing on the neglected topics. Thanks,--Thomas.macmillan 01:35, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the kind words. It was really a spontaneous thing. I tend to get fascinated with different subjects, and I guess Algeria is the latest one. I'll be a bit busy tomorrow so I'll have a look at fr and translate what's there soon. Bnynms 01:49, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the work on Oumar Mariko! The article looks great! Good work and thank you.--Thomas.macmillan 20:27, 23 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Zimbabwe

Thanks - good edits to the Zimbabwe-related articles. I like the compromise for RBC - Zimbabwe Rhodesia makes more sense than UANC. Perspicacite 02:47, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Democratic Kampuchea

G'day, I noticed you placed a merge tag on this article but didn't leave a reason on the talk page. We've been discussing this over at Talk:Khmer Rouge and agreed that DK needs a separate and longer article. In fact we've starting working on one in user space. The DK regime itself lasted a lot longer than 75-79 and was more than a failed state. In fact, the KR still held a seat at the UN under the name Democratic Kampuchea into the 1980's.

I also said this on Talk:Democratic Kampuchea the last time I removed an anonymous merge tag in May. As the tag says, potential merges should be discussed on the talk page, so checking the talk page is probably not a bad idea before tagging. cheers, Paxse 17:39, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:1101620316 400.jpeg)

Thanks for uploading Image:1101620316 400.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 04:31, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Chibi at AfD

As you commented about the Chibi article before, I thought you might be interested to know that it has gone to AfD. The discussion is here. JohnnyMrNinja 18:00, 8 July 2007 (UTC)
