[edit] Racism

Is it a coincidence that they are called the BNP which is British National Party? Do they fund them? 194.83.162.24 (talk) 09:44, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Can someone please answer my question??? 194.83.162.24 (talk) 11:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

Yes I think they may be related too. BNP = BNP or BNP == BNP. --84.70.125.110 (talk) 21:46, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Copyright Violation

The text under "Profile:Corporate and Investment Banking" is taken, verbatim, from http://entreprises.bnpparibas.fr/BNP-Paribas-investment-banking. I have deleted it. --Max power 14:00, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Contradiction?

The text says: Originally the Compagnie Financière de Paris et des Pays-Bas (Finance Corporation of Paris and the Netherlands), the Compagnie Financière de Paribas became simply Paribas in 1998 after acquiring the Compagnie Bancaire. How is this compatible with the fact that the original deviser of the name Paribas is the Flemish artist and entrepreneur Bobbejaan Schoepen, who invented the name in the beginning of the 60s? The name Paribas existed long before 1998. Peeper 01:15, 27 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:BNP Paribas logo.gif

Image:BNP Paribas logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:49, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] WikiProject Companies tag

I've rated the company "Top" on the importance scale, the rationale being that is is one of the largest banks in Europe, as well as ranked 25th in the Fortune Global 500. If anyone disagrees, I'll be happy to discuss. --Gimlei (talk to me) 12:18, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
