BMES

BMES (the Biomedical Engineering Society) was founded on February 1, 1968 "to promote the increase of biomedical engineering knowledge and its utilization." It is active primarily in America.

BMES publishes the Annals of Biomedical Engineering, a monthly academic journal.

BMES also organizes a yearly academic conference, the BMES Annual Fall Meeting.
