[edit] Prague history reverts - a message for User:Smith2006

Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Smith2006" Dear, User:Smith2006, I do apologize and I am sorry if my revert action at 15:08, 19 October 2006 of Prague article caused an atmosphere of greater conflict and stress or is considered to be personally targeted against you. While having good faith I just tried to make the article to be written with more neutral point of view. According to Talk:Prague many users are concerned that you may be giving too much prominence to a view that has indeed certain importance, but should be rather placed in articles such as Expulsion of Germans after World War II. Forgive me but your graphic, scaring and horrific descriptions are not very suitable for articles about general history of certain places. So replacing it by the link to "Expulsion" article should give enough justice to you and your cause. By the way I admire your great work at Wikipedia, especially your edits of history and religion articles. You are surely appreciated for your altruism in bringing deeper knowledge to wide public. Keep your work on and dont be afraid to discuss with us. Cheers! --Bluewind 12:32, 20 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

I did not mean to attack you personally. Thanks for your compliments. Take care!Smith2006 00:34, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

You are welcome to the discussion!. We need to mediate situation and find the compromise. Please, take once again another detailed look at my revert-edit of 15:08, 19 October 2006 of article about city of Prague. All what was done was removal of descriptions such as "massacred", "lynched", "fled for saving only their lives", "ethnic cleansing" etc. I did not erase all your edits completely, I left there that expulsions really took place. That is why I added there links to relevant specialised articles such as "Expulsion od Germans after WW2" and previously unmentioned article about "Prague uprising". I agree that everyone should admit that those war crimes happened, but it was commited by both sides of the war conflict. General site about city of Prague should not contain detailed graphic and horrific desriptions of massacres and other atrocities because there are already placed links to specialised articles about that. There are thousands of cities, towns and villages in Europe where expulsions and massacres happened, so it would be unsound to place detailed descriptions to the thousands of articles. - What is your opinion now? How can we get out of that unfortunate misunderstanding? I hope we will reach some agreement. --Bluewind 09:20, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dášeňka

You are wrong, the correct title of the book is Dášeňka. Cepek 18:43, 25 March 2007 (UTC))

Please forgive me, my edit was just because of common knowledge and widely spread usage of "DášeNka". I thought that somebody in America just made typing error --Bluewind 19:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trikolora

--Bluewind 18:56, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- tak sem si dovolil rovnou změnit v tomto smyslu přímo i samotný template - docela mi to teď připomíná s tou šedou na pozadí barevné schéma nového airbusu vládní letky :-)))--Bluewind 19:22, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not readd the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. [edit] John Lennon

Good work. You have "Eagle-eyes", and I thank you. --andreasegde (talk) 21:22, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] John Lennon Death Section Edit

Regarding my edit of the lead in to the death section, I agree with you that all the details of the section are important. So, it wasn't my intention to remove the details. But I do feel the lead in should cut to the chase with all the important, immediately pressing questions right away -- like when did it happen, who did it, why, etc. All the more elaborate details could then be followed by the more specific set of details the section currently includes. [edit] Thanks for your kind words.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Police artist image of murder of John Lennon.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Police artist image of murder of John Lennon.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. [edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Police artist image of murder of John Lennon.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Police artist image of murder of John Lennon.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 07:56, 21 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanx, you have "Eagle-eyes", - this picture was until recently used in John Lennon article's subparagraph Death, but now after the move by some other editor it is used in The death of John Lennon article - so after your "speedy deletion warning" I updated the free-use rationale description according to that move. Thank You! --Bluewind (talk) 17:55, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
