[edit] Semi-retirement

I am really sorry to hear that you are leaving us. You have been an invaluable person here on Wikipedia. Hope you come back to Wikipedia soon. :-) I will keep an eye on the Final Fantasy articles as always. Regards, Greg Jones II 22:23, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Self Research?

I have FFIV for the WSC, and it DOES have 8-bit music. So I know for a fact that the music has been down graded for this port. Why did you undo it again? Jon24hours (talk) 20:38, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

Things on Wonderswan games are VERY hard to find, and the only thing I have that proves it is a YouTube video. Besides, if everything this little needed "verification", this whole site should have a citation next to it. Hell, are there really ghosts? No one has solid, unbreakable proof, yet there is hundreds of articles on here of them. I'm just saying something this small isn't important enough to have undeniable proof, yet could help someone who wants to get the WS version. Jon24hours (talk) 21:11, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
Could the YouTube video work? It's not edited or downloaded. He took it right off his WS. Jon24hours (talk) 21:27, 1 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] FFXIII + blonde

I reverted because you changed the spelling of "blonde" to "blond" without rationale. The general rule of Wikipedia is don't change UK spellings to US ones and vice-versa without just cause. Since you didn't provide a good rationale (or any rationale), I'm going to assume you only changed it because you are American and prefer the spelling to be "your" way. However, if you found the spelling on official SquareEnix press releases/web pages to be spelled "blond", then you could change it, and link to those pages on the talk page. Otherwise it is considered discourteous, or even offensive, to change the spelling. Thanks Frvernchanezzz (talk) 09:14, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

See here for more info. Frvernchanezzz (talk) 09:19, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I've found that this appears to be the very first time "blond" was added to the article, and it was spelled without the "e". The rule is to leave the spelling the way it was initially, if there is no reason to change it. So, since I've seen this diff, I'm cool with you changing it back to "blond" (unless of course Square spells it "blonde"). Frvernchanezzz (talk) 09:31, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:Kingdomhearts

A tag has been placed on Template:Kingdomhearts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>).

[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:FFXIIHume.JPG

Thanks for uploading Image:FFXIIHume.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 20:39, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: FF7 Famicom Query regarding company statements.

(Copy/paste from the delete page, but wanted to answer you personally) Actually I personally contact both Square Enix and Nintendo, and had their responses posted up until User:Axem Titanium removed them citing WP:OR: square's reply is here. They showed disdain as you can see for the game itself. Nintendo of America when contacted refused to comment, tossing me over to Nintend of Japan (who has yet to reply), and denied me a transcript of the conversation I had with them, stating their comment was only "no comment."--Kung Fu Man (talk) 21:14, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

Doubt they would say anything if they did pursue action. Remember Square foxing Chrono Trigger Resurrection? First anyone heard about it was from the project guys themselves, not SE. From what the nintendo representative told me, if Nintendo pursued legal action themselves they wouldn't inform the public either. (Thus the "no comment" statement). Thinking about it, if either company did publicly fire volleys, it'd make the item in question a lot more present in the news, which in turn boosts the item's popularity with the public (people want most what they are being denied). Would explain both companies having the stance they are without public fighting over it. Though with that said, that leaves the only proof they feel violated what I have here. Anyway, there ya go.--Kung Fu Man (talk) 23:10, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] esto gaza

Hi; i undid your redirect @ Esto gaza. the FFIX main article actually does not mention the place. it's only a couple of sentences, i know & i'd write it in myself; but i don't know the game, so i wouldn't know how to fit it in properly Lx 121 (talk) 03:00, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

hi again, got your note; my problem isn't with the article; it rly doesn't matter to me if esto gaza rates an article of its own or not, my concern is that the redirect leads to the main article on final fantasy IX, which literally does not even have the words "esto gaza" in it, anywhere; this seems unhelpful. if there is going to be a redirect, someone should at least mention the subject of the redirect in the it's article being redirected to. if i actually knew anything about the game, i'd be more than happy to write it in myself Lx 121 (talk) 08:14, 17 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Re: Sora's image on Kingdom Hearts articles

Thanks for the heads up. KingRock is a fairly new user, and probably doesn't know about image fair use. I'll keep an eye on it. (Guyinblack25 talk 04:26, 16 April 2008 (UTC))
