Meet the Designer: Nick Blum Young, hip and abundantly stylish, Nick Blum was born to design. Nick was one of those kids in elementary and high school who was always scribbling on his class notebooks. One day he made a design in his notebook that looked like a watch and from there his passion to express himself through adornment was born. Throughout high school, he drew pictures of watches, cut them out and then laminated them so he could wear his own “watch” designs. After a brief stab at the traditional college route, Nick was convinced that designing was where he wanted to live so he made the leap from paper to precious and enrolled at Gemological Institute of America (GIA). After honing his natural skills a men’s jewelry collection was born out of Nick’s desire to create a collection that would give men a unique form of artistic self-expression.

Originally from the small town of Monticello, Indiana, Nick recently has been sharing his time between Indiana and Naples, Florida to be with his family, which has given him a whole new perspective on style, “Where I live now and where I grew up are two totally different worlds,” explains Nick, “But regardless of where you come from or who people expect you to be, your personal style is a powerful expression of who you are, and that’s what I hope my jewelry can provide.”

Under the surface of Nick’s confident demeanor and perfectly executed personal aesthetic there lies a complexity and an edge, a desire to change the world through artistic self-expression, an insatiable need to create and continually push the envelope of style. His jewelry has a beat to suit any style and the diversity to be made a wearer’s own, whether that wearer is a Hollywood agent, a successful entrepreneur, a publishing executive or simply the quintessential man about town.
