[edit] Merge with Wiktionary
This article was repeatedly deleted for being a mere dictionary definition. (See Wikipedia is not a dictionary.) It was recently discussed on Deletion Review where the closing admin argued that the discussion had been made moot because the article was "rewritten".
This article is still a mere dictionary definition. The first sentence reads "Blumpkin is a word used ..." The rest of the page provides a quote (the definition) and some light color around the quote. Usage and context are entirely appropriate for a dictionary. They do not, however, suddenly turn a dictionary entry into an encyclopedia article. I believe the quote should be transferred to Wiktionary and this page converted to a redirect to the Wiktionary page until such time as someone proves that an encyclopedic article is possible by actually writing one. - Note that wikt:blumpkin already has a fully attributed quotation from Howard Stern. Uncle G 23:58, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
I don't agree. This is a good article that needs to be expanded. -- JJay 01:20, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Feb 2006 - I don't really think this is solid material for a wikipedia entry. Unless there's supporting evidence or information about this phenomenon, it should just redirect to Stern, since as of now, it appears to just be something he said once.
[edit] Redirect to Howard Stern per AfD
The consensus of the AfD was to redirect to Howard Stern; the word's limited notability is due to him. An article on the term is a dicdef and Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Reverting to a redirect to Howard Stern is not vandalism. Шизомби 01:21, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
- What's the point of redirecting to Howard Stern? The article on him makes absolutely no mention of what a "Blumpkin" is. In fact, I still don't know. Kasreyn 09:09, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
A blumpkin is a position which a "blowjob" is given to someone on the toilet.
- I've redirected it to Howard Stern Show where this a reference to the word in the Fines section. --Rajah 23:33, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- The reference to "blumpkin" appears to have been removed from the Howard Stern article's fines section. The blumpkin is mentioned in the [fellatio section of this article], should it be redirected there? Pnevares 20:52, 3 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Protection
I've protected the redirect so we don't need to keep dealing with repeated recreation. If someone would prefer the redirect to go somewhere else contact me or another admin. JoshuaZ 16:08, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
