[edit] Correction Needed
The performance figures are incorrect. 2 runs at 617mph and 627mph would not net a 617 speed result. 1065kmh is about 660mph which would in fact make it faster than Thrust 2, the car that took its record. Additionally it doesn't tie in with the land speed record page.
I suspect the 622 mph / 1001 kmh from the land speed record page is correct and that would tie in with the 2 run speeds. Can anyone confirm this? --LiamE 16:04, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
- 1001,667 km/h is right, i think. --Postrach 23:37, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
The land speed record for The Blue Flame is correct on the land speed record page. On the signed documentation I received from the USAC/FIA chief steward, Jor Petrali, the kilometer recrod average for 2 runs was 630.388 mi/hr. On the FIA websire, for some reason, it is recorded as 630.487. Not a big deal. I edited The Blue Flame page. Dick Keller

The picture says a speed of 1001.452 km/h yet this figure does not appear in the article.
- 1014 was the km figure, 1001 for the mile. --LiamE 12:26, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
