[edit] Storyline
I feel the storyline section is pretty weak...I havn't played the game, and I just want a general overview of the whole game, origins of the final boss, etc. Most other game pages I've seen (Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion...Lost Odyssey...Almost all Final Fantasy's...) have really in depth storyline sections, but this page just has a brief introduction. The storyline can't honestly be only their trip to defeat nene...can it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.241.1.123 (talk) 01:25, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree, I just want a general overview of the story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Doodlecrazy (talk • contribs) 09:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Miscellaneous
Engine: Previously the article indicated that the Renderwaro engine was in use. However, an interview with the lead game designer Hironobu Sakaguchi indicated that the engine was in fact one created in house by the developer.
Article edited appropriately.
An odd figure thrown in there of "90,000 additional Xbox360 sold the same day." (linked to the pre-sales of Blue Dragon in Japan).
I suspect this is marketing FUD as Japanese sales charts show around 1500 XBox360 sold per week on average, and a sharp rise after Blue Dragon announcement to around 3,500 in one week, (which is now dropped back).
It is possible that the post is talking about pre-orders, or sales other than in Japan, but at the moment it seems like a misleading statement thrown in an unrelated paragraph to create the impression of Blue Dragon causing the 360 to be widely successful.
I have therefore removed the sentence, until somebody can give a reference that backs up this claim

A similar sentence was added to the bottom of the Reception section: "Best selling 360 game in Japan." This sentence is practically nonsensical even if it is somehow true, and I have removed it. - Tzepish 21:43, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Copyvio
I believe it's the other way around. That site copied from here. Since the site still has the [1] "end of this year in Japan. [1]", seems like they just copy-pasted from Wikipedia. --Zeno McDohl (talk) 05:46, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it seems that way. www.bluedragon-360.net also does not appear to be affiliated with the creators/copyright holders of the game. Note the 404 error upon accessing the site's contact page. - Cyrus XIII 10:26, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with your assessment, especially after mentioning the [1]. As that site has the same content as the Wikipedia article and is a one-page website with no particularly useful or referenced info, I removed it from the external links. EvilReborn 13:15, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Release Dates
Where have these US and Europe release dates come from? All google produces is a rumour stemming from Gamestop, so they shouldn't be added as concrete. Tell me I've missed something, or they'll have to go. Philtrauferson 18:20, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I think they're placeholders. MS hasn't announced anything. Tehw1k1 22:21, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
They did, today. August for the US and September for Europe. I won't edit the article 'cause I'm not in the mood to look for the source, but check IGN, I think I read it there --SatoshiMiwa 19:37, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Here's the link for that source on the planned release date: http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/770/770968p1.html
[edit] Yuji Naka
Are you sure he's involved with Blue Dragon? I'd have thought he's tied up with PROPE 81.149.182.210 02:12, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
.....Yuji's tied up in this? if he is there is nothing offical because no one's tied him with it on his Wiki page and I didn't see his face on the mist walker site--GasSnake or Poison Oak 01:05, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Anime
The anime needs a separate article. greekalien 1:30, 28 April 2007 (GMT+2)
Not really because it's just a slightly different take on the game and probably isn't going to be going on forever if anything the series is pretty much a 12 ep OVA since I didn't hear about any new eps in July and it's about August--GasSnake or Poison Oak 01:03, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
the anime is a little more than a slightly different take, its basically completely different just using the same scaracters and concepts, everything else is different. Also, a 20th episode has been released, so i think the anime is at least going to run its 51 ep course and possibly more.Threatening force 02:44, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Whats up with the edits in the Anime, they appear to have tried to edit out Bouquet's chest? I mean is there something wrong with kids in the US that they don't want them to see an anime character with a large chest? Xeroz 01:38, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
the anime needs its own article to distinguish between contrasting elements of the two. besides, the chagarcters could probably have their own pages 20 episodes down the line. Someone get to it plz! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Murakumo-Elite (talk • contribs) 04:53, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] other systems?
Does anyone know if its going to come out on other systems?-hotspot
- Published by Microsoft, funded by Microsoft as a weapon against Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest - doubt it. I suppose the DS has a slim chance of some kind of tie in as Mistwalker has developed on the platform and MS isn't entirely opposed to it's various developers from working on it for the odd project here and there, though it is a "rarity". But another console? Forget it. -- VederJuda 16:05, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

- Actually Microsoft has a history of allowing their games to go to the PC or more specifically, Windows eventually. Not surprising when you consider Windows is their OS. They also appear to be strongly tying Windows to the Xbox360 (e.g. using the same audio system, Xbox Live for Windows, 360 controller) despite the fact when the original Xbox came out they were very desperate to seperate the two :-P So there is a possibility this will come out for Windows. However it's unlikely to come out for the PS3 or Wii for obvious reasons Nil Einne 10:47, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Okay,thanks for telling me.-hotspot
Published but not funded anyway MistWalker has chosen that it's the MS time to have some good Japanese turn-based RPGs which is beyond a rarity for the American console let alone a good any kind of game without a gun and in first or shoulder mounted 3rd person angle(looking at you Halo and Gears).Plus MS paid them S*** loads of money, and half of them didn't want to be known only for working on the final fantasy series.--GasSnake or Poison Oak 01:03, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
- Halo and Gears of War are a good example of what I'm taking about. And ironically Gears of War is coming out for the Mac too. Nil Einne 10:48, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] how long is it?
how many hours is the game? other 100 right? Sabu99 11:42, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
i belive it's 20 per disc --74.245.38.202 02:17, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
thats overrated, i played it and its more like 40-45, and thats with nearly all the sidequests i could find :DThreatening force 02:47, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Xbox 360-Only category?
Shouldn't this version of Blue Dragon get the 360-only tag? Considering that the Nintendo DS' version got its exclusive tag, rendering the 2 version mutually exclusives.
Or should the DS-only tag of the DS version be removed as well, since this version was rendered multiplatform?

[edit] "Love" edits
"Shu secretly has a crush on Kluke in the anime." "In the anime Kluke is depicted as far more short tempered, and secretly has romantic feelings for Shu." "Jiro secretly has romantic feelings for Kluke"
Since none of these have actually been proven and thus are not facts, can whoever wrote these at least provide me with a sitation of where he/she got this information?24.185.161.132 (talk) 23:48, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
