Right, I've just gone through on a bit of an editing spree. It appears that in the past month or so, Heavily non-NPOV additions have been made. I'm not in Oldham, so I don't have easy access to the list of staff etc to check facts, but in my last edit I've made changes that bring it closer to the ideal. I'd postulate that the vandalism is being performed by (ex-)pupils of the school, in a manner of the pages about teachers there (Graham McGuffie, Anthony Ballantyne, both now deleted). In 6 weeks or so I'll be in a better position to check facts about the school itself. See also Wikipedia:What_Wikipedia_is_not --RDevz 16:23, 15 May 2004 (UTC)
OK, I just performed a huge edit on the page. A hell of a lot of it was inaccurate, misleading and rather hateful towards the school. I've chopped out large portions that didn't seem to fit in with the purpose of the Wiki. The article still isn't perfect, and could use a lot more editing. This seems like a suitable place to break though. RDevz 17:46, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Just added the buildings section, although this is incomplete. I left the school in 2000, so things may have changed.
Things I know are missing:
- What was the name of the temporary building that housed 4 language classrooms? Is it still there?
- What was the name of the old building that used to house the sixth formers? What is it used for now they have under the cellar?
I also heard the roof blew off the junior block... can someone confirm this? (Starguitar 17:16, 22 February 2007 (UTC))
Q: What was the name of the temporary building that housed 4 language classrooms? Is it still there?
A: You mean the JT block? (stands for Jean Taylor Block), and that was supposed to be tempory? i havent been in there for about 4 years, its that bad.
Q:What was the name of the old building that used to house the sixth formers? What is it used for now they have under the cellar?
A:Kirkman house? that behind my times, but after that there was the undercroft (under the science dept), we moved to the mezzanine. (the old converted sports dept, it above the new Lunch hall/reastaurant.)
Q:I also heard the roof blew off the junior block... can someone confirm this?
A: yes it did, although it wasnt very spectacular, it was just the metal tim from the edge, although it was metal at it was quite high up.
