[edit] Summary

Photo by Howard Metzenberg, April 2003, donated to the public domain. The photo was taken near Avivim, Israel, in the Galilee region, and overlooks the Blue Line, the border between Israel and Lebanon. In the distance, about 2 km north of the border on the far ridgetop, is the Lebanese village Maroun er Ras. In the foreground is a public highway. On the right is an Israeli military road which parallels the Blue Line, and is not open to the public. This picture is shows the area where the Blue Line turns from east-west to north-south. The Hula Valley was to my right as I took this picture, while Avivim and was to my left. I was facing north.
