The blue anole (Anolis gorgonae) is a small, rare lizard that is found only on the island of Gorgona, in Colombia. The blue anole is the only pure-blue lizard in the world. They commonly fall prey to basilisk lizards. This species of anole may soon become extinct. The color doesn't differentiate between sexes. The male's dewlap is pure white, which nicely contrasts the blue skin.
