From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Blue Palace or Plavi Dvorac was built as the heir’s palace in Cetinje the Royal Capital of Montenegro. It was built in 1894-95 in late Empire style as the residence of Prince Danilo of Montenegro, then heir to the throne. The building was a model for the construction of the buildings of the other members of the Petrović Njegoš royal family throughout Montenegro.
The Palace was extensively renovated in 2006 by the Government of the Kingdom of Norway and is the official residence of Crown Prince Nicholas of Montenegro[citation needed].
