Blue Monday (Fats Domino song)

"Blue Monday" is a song written by Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew in 1955. It was popularized in a recording by Domino in 1956, on Imperial Records (catalog # 5417), becoming one of the earliest rhythm and blues songs to make the Billboard magazine pop music charts.

It was included on the 1957 album This Is Fats and the 1959 album Fats Domino sings 12,000,000 Records. the song was covered by many singers including Cat Stevens

It is completely different from 80s electronic band New Order's hit (which was later covered by the band Orgy) of the same name.

This song is often used by Michael Savage on his radio program, The Savage Nation.

Tim Curry did a cover of this song for the theme song of a 1986 British made-for-TV movie, Blue Money.
