Blue Cliff College is a college with campuses located in Gulfport, Mississippi, Fayetteville, Arkansas, and five campuses in Louisiana: Lafayette, Shreveport, Houma, Metarie, and Alexandria. The college offers associates degrees and diplomas for careers in Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Criminal Justice, or Cosmetology.

The intention of the staff and faculty of Blue Cliff College is rooted in the very name itself. “Blue Cliff” is taken from an ancient Zen text, “Blue Cliff Records”, containing dialogues between Zen Masters and their students. “Blue Cliff” has come to symbolize the role of the teacher in bringing personal knowledge and insight to a student, while simultaneously kindling the flame of his or her personal development and personal awareness.

The Blue Cliff College campuses include classrooms for lecture, massage technique, administrative offices, and break area. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, massage tables and chairs, hydrocollator, Body Support Systems, skeletons, charts, massage tools, white boards, TV/VCRs, training videos, and overhead projectors. An on-campus library includes a wide selection of books relating to our curriculums. Blue Cliff College campuses offering IT Programs are also equipped with computer labs, printers, routers, hubs, and various networking equipment.

[edit] New Orleans Campus in Metairie

The Blue Cliff College-Metairie campus is located in a 22,000-square-foot (2,000 m²) two story, stand-alone facility at 3200 Cleary Avenue in Metairie, Louisiana part of the Greater New Orleans area.

The 6,000-square-foot (560 m²) campus is conveniently located in a three-story office building one-half mile west of the Pinhook-Kaliste Saloom intersection in the Saloom 1 Building off Kaliste Saloom at 100 Asma Boulevard, Suite 350.

The 18,000-square-foot (1,700 m²) campus is conveniently located in a two-story building near I-10 and exit 38, at 12251 Bernard Parkway.

The Blue Cliff College-Shreveport campus is housed in a near 20,000-square-foot (1,900 m²) facility. The campus has two fully equipped technique rooms and eight lecture rooms. We offer a multi-station computer lab and a Medical Assisting program clinical lab featuring equipment appropriate for learning. We offer a fully equipped cosmetology lab providing a simulated salon environment with 22 working stations. Our massage therapy technique rooms provide a relaxing clinical environment for student therapy services offered to the public.

The Shreveport campus offers an on-campus store for students and the public featuring massage supplies, books, uniforms, medical assisting supplies, as well as a variety of aromatherapy and spa products. The Shreveport facility also offers a student lounge area and a kitchen for students’ convenience. For those requiring a quieter place to relax and study we have a library with four Internet – accessible computer stations and Jones E-Global library access to additional databases and resources.

The main building provides nearly 600 sq ft (56 m²). with 2 and spacious and conformtable student break rooms and school store and library Massage Therapy is also available at White River School of Massage, a division of Blue Cliff College.

The Houma campus is located in Town Hall Shopping Center, the most centrally located shopping center in the tri parish area of Lafourche, Terrebonne, and St. Mary. The College occupies over 12,000 square feet (1,100 m²) of space that is very inviting and conducive to a learning atmosphere.

The Blue Cliff College-Alexandria campus is housed in a 200,000-square-foot (19,000 m²) stand-alone facility. There are 10 lecture classrooms, one computer lab with 20 Internet-accessible computers, two massage therapy technique labs with 12 work stations and 1 fully-equipped medical assisting clinical lab.
