"Blue (Da Ba Dee)" is a single by Italian group Eiffel 65. It is by far the band's most popular single, reaching #1 in 17 countries, including the UK, Australia, and Germany, and also peaking at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. The song was released in 1999 on the album Europop. The vocals were recorded using Autotune, giving the vocals a robotic sound. The song was featured in an episode of the MTV shows Undressed and The Osbournes. In 2008 the song was remixed by English DJ, Nate Valentine.

The song refers to a person who is figuratively "blue" - so "blue" that it begins to affect his world and life.

The song was used during a scene of the Frankie Muniz movie, Big Fat Liar. Muniz dyes the antagonist, Marty Wolf, blue in Wolf's pool by the addition of blue coloring. Later Muniz drives up beside as the song plays, referring to Marty's blue skin.

The song appears at #14 on Rolling Stone's list of the 20 Most Annoying Songs.[1]

The chorus of the song "I'm blue dabadee dabadie dabadee dabadie dabadee dabadie dabadee dabadie" is sometimes heard as "in Aberdeen I will die[citation needed], I'm in need of a guy" and "If i was green, I would die".

The music video is fairly nonsensical. While giving a concert, the lead singer of Eiffel 65 is abducted by blue-skinned aliens, who leave Earth with him. The two remaining members of the band give chase in their own small spacecraft, and eventually both ships arrive on the blue aliens' planet via a portal. It is shown that the lead singer was taken to apparently perform in a concert for the aliens. After fighting off a number of alien guards using martial arts and several energy-based abilities including something that resembles Star Wars force lightning, the pursuing members succeed in rescuing their lead singer, and while leaving the planet, are asked to return by the aliens. They oblige, performing a concert for the blue-skinned extra-terrestrials.
