The Blue-capped Tanager (Thraupis cyanocephala) is a species of bird in the Thraupidae family. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montanes and heavily degraded former forest.
